Salt & Soil was born in quiet moments, you know the kind where life finally slows down enough for you to notice the drift of wild flowers on the roadside and the scent of something warm in the oven.

I wanted to create a little world that felt like that: simple, grounding, nostalgic, and beautifully human. A place where food and flowers come straight from people, not factories.

At the heart of this story is an old VW Type 2 Kombi named Sandy…the keeper of so many tiny rituals, and the roaming home of Salt & Soil. She is practical magic on wheels.

Sandy overflows with seasonal stems gathered from small local growers who care deeply for the land; and offers small-batch bakes still warm from the morning's making, made with simple ingredients and gentle processes.

Salt & Soil exists to bring the romance of old-school methods into modern life. I believe good things take time. Flowers grown with intention. Ingredients treated with respect. Moments cherished instead of rushed. Because it is this that creates a different kind of magic, the kind you can taste, smell, and carry home.

Salt & Soil is my love letter to slow living, to locally-grown beauty, to the quiet joy of taking something home that was made with both hands and heart.

Take your time here, you're among friends.

With love, Grace
